Spring Time
Spring in Toronto. This year's winter seem to have made up for the lack of snow we had last year.
I just wrapped up designing on a tv movie based on one of the Rankin and Bass Christmas specials that I grew up watching when I was younger. It was really neat to see the process of stopmotion unfold in front of you everyday. Being exposed to people that specialized in fields like carpentry, sculpture, metal works, mold making, costume designers, things that I've never learned or focused on in animation school. It was very enlighting and refreshing experience, also stressful on certain days...
I think I picked up some carpentry skills and learned about what tools to use when building miniature sets. Also I got some tips on my own sculptures on refining and tools to use.
The show is in the animation stage and from what I saw it's looking really nice...should be on tv this december 2008.
