NEW YEAR

Some sculptures to start the New Year, I call them the "Rhinoplastic Sculptures". I approach these sculptures in a painterly way keeping them loose and gestural, so that the imperfections in the face would be visible than having it all rendered smooth.

Great sculpts Bernard, but don’t you get freaked out at night with all these heads in your room? Or do the heads get their own room.

Hey guys thanks for the comments. I'm going to answer these questions the best way I can.

Juyon I don't know what the names of the sculpting tools are but I mainly used my hand for the most part and a sharp pencil like tool to add the details if any...

Yes mister Ross they reside in my room, on the book shelves where they can all talk to each other seeing who will get their bodies first.

Hey Bernard,

I just came across your blog, I really like the sculptures and cowboy designs... when you sculpt do you start with a drawing or just start working the clay? I'd like to try some sculpting some day..
